Shipping Info

COVID19 shipping updates.

Due to the COVD19 pandemic and USPS our shipping times are delayed. Items are still processed in 2 working days for orders placed before 3pm CST, but we are seeing substantial delays in the USPS priority mail system. It looks like orders can take up to 5 business days after it leaves the studio. This would make an order time of 5-7 business days. If you needed to rush through an order, PLEASE send an email to froufrouchicribbons@gmail.com and put the works RUSH ORDER as your subject. Thank you for your understanding.

How can I get my ribbon faster than the standard shipping?

If you require a fast production and shipping time, please email us or click on the contact tab to send a message. We will respond promptly to ensure you can get your ribbons when needed.

My tracking hasn’t updated. where is my order?

Sometimes USPS misses the scan upon pickup and the tracking wont pick up till it has arrived in the destination city. Please send us an email if you have any questions about your tracking.

Tracking said my order was delivered, I don’t have it.

Product & Care

How do my ribbons arrive, do I need to press them?

When your ribbons first arrive they will either be on spools or folded. All our ribbons are on spools except our crinkle silks and our bundles. If your ribbon is on a spool, they are already pressed. However if you need to freshen them up then pull them through hair straighteners on a high setting or under the base of the hotplate of a fairly hot iron. Work in one direction only (the direction the frayed edge is sitting, if you pull it through the other way the fray will stand out much more) holding one end in one hand, the iron in the other. Our crinkle ribbons come hand rolled and unpressed, to allow their full textured appearance to be used. If you wish to press them to have a soft crinkle, just iron normally with a fairly hot iron or hair straightener.

Can I wash my ribbons after use?

Yes! All of our colors are set and will not run. Our ribbons should be washed by hand in a pH neutral soap (silk does not like alkali environments) and carefully rinsed a number of times. Chiffon is very fragile and is probably best rolled flat on the hand first to make a bundle then gently lowered into the water and just move up and down. Line dry until just damp and then press them. 

For our original ribbons you can pull them slowly under a hot iron. If this silk dries too much the creases will not iron out. Spray with water until damp and press. Or you can make a lovely textured ribbon by deliberately letting it dry scrunched up.

Washed crinkles can be left to dry and they will stay crinkly, or pressed flatter when partly dry.

The gauze ribbons are best pressed when damp so either catch when partly dry or spray. Again use a fairly hot iron.

The chiffon ribbon is very delicate and best pressed when dry. Lay it partly on the board, spray, then iron that piece gently (it can stretch). do it section at a time.

Return Policy & Discounts

What is your return policy?

Unfortunately we do not offer refunds and only issue store credits if orders are returned within 14 days of issued ribbon. Returns must be unused and in the same condition it arrived. All returns but be requested first VIA email to: froufrouchicribbons@gmail.com.

Do you give ribbons for photoshoots and workshops?

We would love to fulfill all ribbon requests, but unfortunately we receive so many. Each year we commit to a number of projects that receive samples or spooled ribbon. We are currently at our maximum quota for donations and are unable to provide any promotional ribbon for the spring and summer seasons. If you would like to request ribbon for a shoot or workshop beyond this season, please send us an email with a request.

Do you offer vendor discounts or wholesale?

We offer a 15% discount on orders of 100 yards or more. Large orders can take up to 4 weeks for production depending on in-stock inventory. Please contact us VIA our contact tab to set up a custom order. We do offer discounts to wedding industry vendors that start at 10% and go up to 25% (all based on yearly consumer amounts.) Please contact us at froufrouchicribbons@gmail.com for us to send you an application for a vendor account.

Unfortunately we do not offer wholesale. We are a small family run business and our process is a labor of love with each step of the way done by hand. By providing a handmade product we could not discount beyond our large order deals.
